Got a playroom that needs some decorating help? Here are some wonderful ideas to brighten up, organize, and inspire creativity in your child.
Use a large colorful area rug to brighten the room...
Beanbags make for great seating...
Make sure to have good lighting for doing art projects, reading, etc...
Make sure you are keeping safety in mind also, when they are quiet you never know what they may be into! Check out our section on safety.
Hang 1" wide fabric ribbon to two corners of the room and attach clothespins to display artwork.
Bowers or tents are great fun to inspire the most imaginative play...
Use Flash cards (like these below) for a unique and educational wallborder.
Stencil an alphabet or favorite sayings or nursery rhymes for a border...
Paint on a mural to whisk your kids away to an adventure far away... Find a picture or draw one of what you want to use..lay it on the projector and face it towards the wall that you will paint. Draw on wall with pencil. Next paint (in the lines!). If you don't have a projector, sometimes the library will rent them out.
Playrooms can be organized and look great with storage shelves and containers like these.
