Know someone who is going over the hill??? Whether it's their 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th....on up, celebrate their milestone with everyone that they love... First rule-- make sure that the guest of honor has a good sense of humor!
Invitations
Use black cardstock (found at any craft store) and white gel pens. Find ads in magazines for such items as denture cleaner, Depends, bifocals, etc.. and photocopy, cut out, and glue to front of card... ~or~ a more tasteful idea... Obtain a photo of the guest of honor when he or she was a small child... and photocopy and clue to front of card... write in all party info on the inside of card.
Decorations
Black rolls of plastic wall cover to hang over walls.
Centerpieces of dead dried roses... (just hang your red roses upside down in rubberbanded bunches in a closet for a few days and they turn black and stiff..)
Black plastic tablecovers
Use "Grim Reaper" Party supplies shown below- Make sure the guest of honor has a good sense of humor!



Party favors of extra large playing cards, or jumbo vision glasses (Spencers)...hang paper vultures (Shindigz-see above link)
Styrofoam headstone place settings (see Shindigz above)
Over The Hill Message Camera-- Take photos throughout the party, and they come out with messages, such as, "The Over The Hill Gang", and "Life Begins Today" (24 photos-single use camera- SpencerGifts.com $17.00
Make signs out of posterboard of "Geezer crossing" and hang on walls...
Put bowls of prunes on tables...

We looove this idea.... Obtain an old childhood photo of the guest of honor and use it to adorn the cover of the invitation...You can make these yourself, using cardstock, or you can find this, as well as, many other beautiful invitations at Fine Stationery.
