Ring in the new year with a bash! Invite your friends and family to enjoy good food, good music, fun, and of course ringin' in the new year with Dick Clark! Here you will find decorating, menu, party favor, and activity ideas for celebrating the new year!
Invitations
- tip: Plan ahead... make sure your friends and family know that you will be hosting the New Year's Eve party this year. People tend to make plans far in advance for this occasion.
- Purchase die cuts of grandfather clocks, champagne bottles, confetti, etc... glue to cardstock and embellish with glitter, and markers. Type or handwrite party information on inside of card. Add party confetti of your choice to inside of card so it 'pops' out when your guest opens the card.

Decorations
- Any bright bold colors will work... mostly gold, silver, cobalt blue... are used.
- Iridescent helium-filled balloons all over...
- lots of serpentines and confetti draped all tabletops...
- for centerpiece, fill a large basket with party horns, noisemakers, leis, party hats and party glasses. (huge selection at Oriental Trading..see link)
- For a more formal approach to decorating, you could use upside-down top hats as centerpieces to fill with party favors...and use fresh flower bouquets and beautiful candles. Use black tablecloths and sprinkle gold and silver confetti on top.
Party Favors

Menu
- Have a pot luck! Ask each guest to bring a dish to pass.
many great recipes can be found at www.allrecipes.com
as well as, veggies and dip. This way guests can nibble a little all night...
- Have champagne and sparkling juice on hand for the traditional toast.
Activities
- and of course....counting down with Dick Clark!
