- Make a "one bite" rule: They have to at least try it, hey maybe they'll actually like it. Mikey did.
- Presentation is everything: arrange the broccoli like trees stuck in mashed potato "mountains"... Make silly faces on a plate out of fresh veggies...
- Be enthusiastic about your veggies: "these peas are wonderful!", "this corn rocks!"
- Allow the child to choose which vegtables he would like to have for dinner. Better yet, have him pick them out at the store.

Core and coarsely chop 1 red apple. Place chopped apple, 1/3 cup honey, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon in food processor or blender. Blend until all has been mixed and is smooth and spreadable. Using a butter knife, spread about 1 tablespoon on 2 slices of bread. Stack them together spread side up. Top with 3rd slice of bread. Place cookie cutter of your choice (metal ones work best) on top, press down firmly. Remove trimmings while cutter is still in place. Remove cookie cutter. Makes enough for about 10 sandwiches.
