Luau
Say "Aloha" to high school with a hawaiian luau theme...Cut out pineapple shapes with yellow posterboard for invitations and enclose in the graduation announcements... Decorate a cake table with raffia table skirting... Set up a 'tiki bar' and serve tropical smoothies....Play luau music (try "Drew's Famous Luau Music")...Blow up brightly colored beach balls and throw all over the yard....Grill teriyaki chicken kabobs....Serve veggie plate, and fruit with dips.....more luau ideas here. Grease-inspired carnival
"Grease" inspired end of school carnival! Here are some ideas:
Decorations and Activities

Have outdoors, if possible.

Hang fringe pennants and balloons from tree to tree.

Rent tents to hold tables and food.

Have a potato sack race.

Play the "rubber duck" game.~ Fill a small childs pool with water. With black permanent marker, number the bottom of 10 rubber ducks from 1 to 10. Have players guess the number between 1 and 10 and pick up a duck. The one who picks up the number he/she chose wins a prize. Purchase many inexpensive stuffed animals for prizes.
Use your imagination for all kinds of carnival games...

Serve fried chicken, hot dogs, polish sausage dogs with all of the fixin's, and bottled and canned soda, as well as, fresh lemonade. Also bags of cotton candy.

You could also collect tickets for the games that you hand out as people arrive. Rent equipment, such as:

Carnival games are available for rental at many party rental stores. ~ To find a rental store near you, go to www.yellowpages.com and search for party rental in your area. Then, you will need to call and ask. Sometimes, they do not advertise all that they offer. TIP: Rent or purchase the movie Grease for more inspiration.

Mexican Fiesta
Host a Mexican Fiesta for that grad that loves Mexican food.
Decorate with bright Mexican blankets and sombreros, hire an authentic mariachi band, and of course, a huge buffet of Mexican food!
