-
Purchase a 4 ft or so, poseable Easter bunny (sold at most dollar stores).
-
Draw and cut out a carrot using orange posterboard
-
Tape the Easter bunny to a wall -so that the children can reach it.
-
Have the child stand about 4 feet from the wall facing the bunny, blindfold the child with a bandana, hand them the "carrot" with 2 sided tape on the back-- and spin them around.. Then let them try to place the carrot on the bunny's hand.
An inexpensive game, and the children have a great time!
Invite the Easter Bunny, himself, to your party! Costumes available through: Click above for details
Egg Toss
-
Purchase 4 different colored Easter buckets (from the dollar store). On the first bucket, draw a "10", on the second bucket, draw a "20", and on the third bucket, draw a "30". Place three of the four buckets about a foot apart in a line (in order- "10" first, then "20" behind, and so on... Stick a 4 inch piece of masking tape on the floor, about 3 feet in front of the first bucket. Put plastic Easter eggs in the 4th bucket. Have the children stand in a line. Decide how many eggs each child will throw. Hand the first child in line one egg at a time to toss into the buckets.
-
Explain the object of the game is to get as many points as possible, which means, get as many eggs in the "30" as possible.
-
The child who gets the most points, wins a prize.
-
You may need to move the masking tape for the younger children-- and change the rules a little--- (just have them toss the egg in any bucket)...
-
Guess how many jellybeans?
-
Fill a jar with jellybeans (Jelly Belly are hardest to guess), and have each child guess the amount. The closest guess wins.
-
Host an Easter egg hunt
-
Prior to the party, fill plastic Easter Eggs with small candy, toys, and coins. You can also buy the eggs pre-filled with goodies. Make sure to purchase enough for at least 10 eggs per child. Gather all of the eggs and hide throughout yard, or party area. Make sure yard is free of debris or anything that could harm the children. Ask guests to bring a bag or Easter basket along with them for gathering their eggs. You could also provide each party guest a festive Bunny Bag. When it is time to "hunt", make sure that there are plenty of parents/helpers to assist the smaller kids.

A fun Mexican tradition!

It is time to start saving egg shells for cascarones. These colorful confetti filled eggs are an important part of the Easter celebration for Mexican families in Texas. It's supposed to bring you good luck to have a cascarone cracked on your head. Make enough to give a dozen to each child and of course the grown-ups have to have some too. This is a good craft project for kids.
Some people make elaborately decorated cascarones, or with Easter egg coloring and fill with paper confetti. Use paper confetti at a Mexican party stores, if not get out your scissors and snip enough crepe or tissue paper to make a bag of confetti.
To get started, you will need to eat lots of scrambled eggs and omelets and save the egg shells. To open the eggs, take a knife and punch a tiny hole in one end of the egg. Break the egg open at the other end, making a large enough opening shake the egg out into a bowl
Rinse the empty egg shell and put it in an egg carton. When you are ready to make the cascarones, dye the shells just like you would Easter eggs. Put them back in the egg cartons to dry. Once they are dry, you can write or draw on the shell or paste on gold stars. Fill each egg with confetti and paste a piece of tissue over the top to hold the confetti in.
This is fun for the whole family!
