Cinco de Mayo  Cinco de Mayo, or the 5th of May, is a day marked by many Mexicans as an important cultural event.  It  is the day of victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Pueblo.  It is a day to celebrate the rich culture we share with our neighbors to the south.  Host a Mexican fiesta to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Hang Mexican Serapes (woven rugs), sombreros, and a Mexican celebration banner.  You could also drape these colorful Mexican garland.  Decorate tabletops with brightly dyed woven fabrics and place vases of huge paper flowers for centerpieces.
