Barney and Friends is such a fun and educational show for children.  Does your child love Barney?  Here are some fun ideas, tips, and party supplies for a super-dee-duper Barney birthday party! 

 Invitations:

Make your own using free printables from Barney's official site: http://pbskids.org/barney/children/coloring/coloringmenu_family.html

Decorations:

• Decorate with purple, orange, yellow, and green helium balloon bouquets...
• transform your party area into Barney's playground:  Make large tree trunks with brown posterboard and using green tissue paper, wad up to resemble bushy leaves, and attach to 'branches'...Make 'clouds' using white posterboard.  Glue on white cottonballs all over the 'cloud'.  Make a huge sunshine out of yellow posterboard.  If possible, use an outdoor bench, gazebo, or trellis and adorn with silk greenery and silk flower swags...
• Gather and place Barney, B.J., and Baby Bop toys and dolls throughout the party area.
• Use the birthday cake/cupcakes as a centerpiece.  Here is a dinosaur cake pan -just frost with purple frosting.
