Baby showers are so much fun... they shouldn't be stressful, have a great time planning and enjoying the party!
For smaller guests at the baby shower, you can make up 'treat bags'. Just purchase plain baby blue and pink paper sacks and decorate with baby stickers, and write "Future Babysitter" on the front. Fill with 'baby bottle candy' (see Oriental Trading Co.); small pad of paper and crayons; little baby doll; or just fill with bubbles, a jumprope, and stickers.
Great Idea!
Did you know?? We love this idea! Go to: m&m's.com and you can actually not only choose specific colors..but you can now print your very own messages on M&M'SŪ Milk Chocolate Candies and package them in creative ways!
Centerpiece Ideas
Make candy flowers in pots! Using indoor/outdoor paints, paint several terra cotta pots...you can also use paint markers to draw flowers or designs on each pot. When dry, using a glue gun, affix a 1" fabric polka dot ribbon on the rim (for a bit of whimsy! it is a baby shower!) and tie a bow. Next out a styrofoam circle in the bottom. Make chocolate suckers using a Wilton flower candy mold (we have provided a link below). When the suckers are finished, wrap with cellophane and a cute bow on each. Then poke each 'flower' sucker in the styrofoam circle in the pot. The end result is an adorable flower pot filled with chocolate flower suckers that double as adorable party favors for your guests....
Purchase medium-sized plants/or flowers (that you can plant later) and wrap bottom of container in coordinating tissue paper and secure with pretty fabric ribbon. You can also use these for prizes for the games, just have winner choose which one that they want.
--or you can also get a small or medium wicker basket for each table, spray paint it white and fill with the party favors (enough for each person at the table) and tie a pretty coordinating fabric ribbon on the handle.
**For long cafeteria-style tables, purchase the plastic rolls of table cover and cut to fit, next tape under table so that it will stay. Then, choose a coordinating 2" wide polka dot or striped or other style cloth ribbon. Lastly, pile three party favors in their small mesh sacks (see party favors)...and put in center of ribbon every 3 people or so... (try to cover any scotch tape that is taping the ribbon down).
